EASTER EGG HUNT ON VIÐEY ISLAND
Elding (the ferry company) are hosting an Easter egg hunt on Viðey Island on Saturday 12 April (from 13:30 — 16:30) in collaboration with the chocolate factory Freyja, Viðeyjarstofa café and the City of Reykjavík.
This is a fun game for the whole family set in the beautiful countryside. The aim of the game is to find as many Easter eggs from Freyja, along with any of the specially marked eggs that can be exchanged for a bigger prize.
The hunt starts at 13:30 at Viðey House. Participants can of course start later, but the game’s main rule is to find the eggs first (and fastest). We’ll define specific search areas, amongst those there will be one specifically allocated for the youngest participants (6 years and younger).
Viðey House Café is open for guests for refreshments after the hunt. There are also many nice walking paths around the islands for those who want to enjoy the nature and view the various artworks located on the island.

There is no fee for participation in the Easter egg hunt but guests pay the ferry fee:
- Adults 1.100 ISK
– Children 7–15 years old 550 ISK.*
– Children 0–6 years old Free.*
*with adult supervision
